Seed bomb is an activity inspired by energetically developing movement of Guerrilla Gardening. Its informal leader, Richard Reynolds defines the guerrilla gardening as “cultivating the soil which belongs to someone without their permission”. We can run across long metal fencing in many towns. They cut out spaces of the city of no legal definition and noone has any idea what to do with them. When man’s access is limited to a place, it means he gives up his power over this place for the sake of natural forms – plants, insects, animals. Thus, the area excluded in such a way becomes a green enclave. Using seed bombs, we can develop its potential and fight for bio-diversity. The simplicity of the seed bomb reinforces its activist potential, while the use of melliferous plants emphasises its ecological character. The transformation of said wastelands into the areas pulsating with life appears to be simple and banal, and accessible to everyone. Therefore, I encourage you to take seed bombs with you and make a raid in the city!
